My Ice Cream Journey!
Updated: Oct 4, 2019
I have always loved ice cream. I haven’t met many people that don’t. It conjures up memories of long summer days on the beach, a treat after school from the ice cream van that used to park outside, and nowadays the sheer luxury of a tub of something indulgent whilst sitting in bed and watching Netflix! For all of us, ice cream has its place in our lives and I’m so happy to now be able to bring some ice cream joy into the world with my new business venture, Ice Queens.
It’s been a wonderful labour of love, from the initial design process, to choosing suppliers, receiving our five star health and hygiene rating from our local council, to seeing our wonderful trike in all its finest at many wonderful events throughout last summer.
As a qualified wedding planner and cabin crew member for nearly 20 years, my passion for excellent customer service and attention to detail, is still what drives me today. I care about your day and want you to enjoy it as much as I did on my very own wedding day. (I too of course had ice cream on my big day! Please refer to the picture me devouring a 99!)
Our wedding was perfect, and I loved every minute of it. But it took a lot of work and meticulous planning! So I understand the intricacies involved in planning your big day, which is why I am at such an advantage to help YOU create a touch of magic with our very special ice cream trike. I cannot stress enough how important it is to sit back, relax, and enjoy yourself.
I feel so very privileged to be able to be part of someone’s special day and to be surrounded by love and happiness at each wedding or event we go to. It’s a special job to be able to bring ice cream happiness to guests, that are always impressed and happy to see us.
Due to the nature of my previous jobs, I love meeting and talking to people, so for me, Ice Queens is a dream come true. We live in such a fast paced world that the luxury of taking five and enjoying an amazing ice cream treat really is a luxury and how lucky am I to be able to share that with you.
This is of course is my first blog post and I’m looking forward to bringing you many more. Please look out for my next post, Top Tips for a Tip Top Wedding where I will share all my wedding planning secrets. However, in the meantime, I’m off to our kitchen at Ice Queens HQ to study the wedding trends of 2020 and incorporate these into some of our new wonderful ice cream designs for next year. Watch this space, I’m off to our ice cream lab to get creative!
